USWNT adds matches against Brazil to its World Cup victory tour

Matches against Brazil are set for Oct. 21 at CenturyLink Field in Seattle and on Oct. 25 at Orlando's Citrus Bowl.

The United States women's soccer team has added exhibition matches against Brazil on Oct. 21 at CenturyLink Field in Seattle and on Oct. 25 at Orlando's Citrus Bowl as part of the team's FIFA Women's World Cup victory tour, organizers announced on Monday.

The games in Seattle and Orlando are the fifth and sixth of a 10-game victory tour by the team. The rest of the schedule has yet to be announced.

The first exhibition game of the tour will be held Costa Rica on Aug. 16 at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh. All members of the World Cup-winning team are expected to participate in the victory tour, however forward Sydney Leroux is currently sidelined after ankle surgery.

The U.S. won the 2015 Women’s World Cup with a 5–2 victory over Japan in the final. The team's next big global competition will be at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. The U.S. women will look to win their fourth consecutive Olympic gold medal. The team has never won the FIFA Women's World Cup and Olympics in back-to-back years.

The U.S. will have to qualify for the Rio Games at the 2016 CONCACAF Women's Olympic Qualifying Championship in January.
