Watch: Roy Keane's hilarious take on Robbie Keane's Ireland availability

Watch Roy Keane's hilarious response to a question regarding whether having a newborn baby would keep Robbie Keane from playing in Ireland's key Euro 16 qualifiers.

LA Galaxy and Ireland national team captain Robbie Keane and his wife, Claudine, welcomed their second child into the world Monday night in Los Angeles, just days before Ireland faces Germany and Poland in a pair of crucial European Championship qualifiers.

The family development prompted one reporter to ask Ireland assistant manager Roy Keane (of no relation), whether that would put the active all-time international goal leader's jeopardy in status.

Hardly.

Roy, with a straight face, responded, "He didn't have the baby, did he? Unless he's breastfeeding, he should be all right."

That's wonderful news for the Irish, who sit in third place in their qualifying group, four points clear of fourth-place Scotland and two points behind second-place Poland with two group games remaining. A third-place finish would cement their place in the playoff round for Euro 2016, while a second-place finish would automatically seal a place in France next summer.
