Liverpool snatches 96th minute equalizer vs West Brom

LIVERPOOL, England (AP) Juergen Klopp's Liverpool showed its new-found resilience with a 96th-minute equalizer to draw 2-2 against West Bromwich Albion in the Premier League on Sunday.

Jordan Henderson set up Divock Origi to score from outside the area in the sixth minute of stoppage time as midtable Liverpool grabbed a point.

The hosts were in danger of losing their second straight Premier League game after West Brom had rallied to lead 2-1.

Henderson put Liverpool ahead in the 21st at Anfield after a headed assist from Adam Lallana. Craig Dawson soon equalized with a shot to the bottom left corner and Jonas Olsson put the visitors ahead in the 73rd before Origi struck late.

The Belgium striker, only on the field because of a potentially serious injury to Dejan Lovren from Craig Gardner's reckless knee-high tackle, fired in from distance with the aid of a deflection in the sixth of eight additional minutes after the Croat's lengthy treatment.

Klopp had previously been critical of fans leaving early because of lack of faith in the team's ability to recover losing positions but not on this occasion.

The German gathered all his players together at the final whistle and they walked toward the Kop hand-in-hand in a gesture of thanks.

Despite taking an early lead through Henderson's first league goal since April 4, Liverpool was undone by two set-pieces as goalkeeper Simon Mignolet's blunder allowed Dawson to equalize before Olsson nodded in a second.

Mignolet pushed Christian Benteke out of the way as he came to claim Chris Brunt's corner, missed the ball and saw Dawson ram home the loose ball.

Olsson headed in Brunt's near-post corner before Origi capitalized on the lengthy injury time with a rasping, deflected drive.
