Spain coasts into Euro 2016 knockout stage with rout of Turkey

Two-time reigning European champion Spain is into the 2016 knockout stage with ease after a 3-0 rout of Turkey on Friday.
Alvaro Morata and Nolito scored in quick succession late in the first half, and Morata added a second soon after the second-half restart, as Spain improves to a perfect 2-0-0 with no goals conceded in its first two matches. Turkey, meanwhile, is eliminated with the loss, with no points from its opening matches. Spain joins France and Italy as teams to have already qualified for the round of 16.
Morata scored in the 34th minute, heading home after a cross from Nolito. The provider then turned scorer three minutes later, taking advantage of a wayward clearance and getting enough on a volley to roll it in from close range. Morata scored his second to cap a tightly worked combination, with Jordi Alba supplying the final pass.
