A Spanish court has dropped the fraud case against Neymar regarding his transfer to Barcelona from the Brazilian club Santos in 2013, the Associated Press reports.

The Brazilian investment fund DIS used to own Neymar’s rights and claimed it was cheated out of its 40% share of the $74 million transfer deal. Neymar and his father, who is also his agent, have denied any wrongdoing.

The court ruled the case “could have sporting, ethical and disciplinary repercussions,” but could not be pursued in criminal court, according to the AFP.

Barcelona paid a $6.2 million fine in June to settle another case regarding the transfer, conceding the club had made an “error in the fiscal planning” of Neymar’s transfer, according to the AP.

Neymar signed a new five-year contract with Barcelona last week.
