How to watch the Champions League draw: Live stream, start time
The draw for the Champions League group stage draw takes place on Thursday in Monaco.
The group stage includes the 22 teams that qualified directly for the group stage based on their league and competition performances last season. The top seeds are 2015 Champions League winner Real Madrid, along with the league winners from England, Spain, Germany, Italy, France, Portugal and Russia.
The other 10 teams in the group stage advanced from the qualifying rounds, which began on June 28.
Real Madrid will be looking to win its third Champions League title in four years. Other recent winners include Barcelona (2014-15) and Bayern Munich (2012-13).
