Altrincham FC Wade Into the 'Aguero to Chelsea Rumours' With Some Inspired Twitter Banter

​Sergio Aguero to Chelsea is a rumour that has been doing the rounds for the past couple of days, and a lot of fans are a bit sceptical about the whole thing.

The Blues are reported to hold a 'strong and serious' interest in the Argentine hitman, and if any move materialises it would arguably be the biggest move of the summer.

One Manchester City fan on Twitter though was having absolutely none of it, and chose to liken the situation of Chelsea having an interest to Evo-Stik NPL side Altricham FC also holding an interest in the superstar.

@danmcfcjones said on the social media site: "Chelsea have a "strong interest" in signing Aguero. I'm sure Altrincham have a strong interest too. Doesn't mean they will get him...."

The club managed to catch wind of the mention without being tagged, and quipped: "Never heard of him."

The response has been retweeted over 1000 times and liked over 2300 times since Monday morning and hopefully the minnows will one day embark on a magical FA Cup run that sees them drawn against City and that bloke up front they've never heard of...
