23-year-old academy graduate Tyias Browning will join Sunderland ahead of the new season on a one-year loan. The right-back featured in just one game for the senior Everton side last season, playing 46 minutes in an EFL Trophy defeat to Blackpool.

Browning went on to spend two months on loan with Championship side Preston, before returning with the Everton youth teams in March. The defender has had a previous loan spell with Wigan in 2014, however, he is yet to get a consistent run of games for Everton in the Premier League.

Browning will be linking up with Brendon Galloway, another Everton youth player, who joined Sunderland on a similar loan deal earlier in the transfer window. Browning will also be playing with former Toffee's stars Bryan Oviedo, Darron Gibson and Jack Rodwell at the Stadium of Light next season.

Browning made his Premier League debut for Everton in a Merseyside Derby in September 2014, helping Everton to a 1-1 draw where Phil Jagielka rifled home an incredible stoppage time equaliser to cancel out Steven Gerrard's equally impressive free-kick at Anfield.
