Former Tottenham Manager Harry Redknapp Astonishingly Linked With National Team Job in Africa
Harry Redknapp is being lined up as the potential next head coach of the Ghana national team, according to the Sun.
The 70-year-old, who spent less than a year in his only international role with Jordan, has apparently applied for the chance to succeed Avram Grant after Ghana's failure at the Africa Cup of Nations earlier this year.

The former Tottenham, QPR and West Ham manager is in contention with Middlesbrough legend Fabrizio Ravanelli, whose only experiences of football management have been with Juventus' youth team as well as a brief spell in charge of Ligue 2 side AC Ajaccio, amongst others for the job.
Patrice Carteron, whose CV includes teams like Cannes and Mali, currently manages Saudi Arabian side Al-Nassr but is reportedly high on the Ghana FA's five-man shortlist alongside Redknapp, Ravanelli and former Ghana coaches James Kwesi Appiah and Karim Abdul Razak.
Redknapp achieved notable success with Tottenham during his managerial career, guiding the north London club into the Champions League before leaving the club in 2012. He also won the FA Cup with Portsmouth in 2008.
Unfortunately for Redknapp both long-time favourites Niko Kranjcar and Peter Crouch have already been capped at international level by Croatia and England respectively, so regardless of whether they 'cracking lads' they would unavailable to represent Ghana on a short term basis.
