Former Olympique Lyonnais youth star Anthony Martial has had a hot and cold Manchester United career following his £51m move to Old Trafford in 2015.
After an incredible start to life in the Premier League, the 21-year-old forward has fallen down the pecking order under manager José Mourinho.
In United's pre-season fixture against Real Madrid, something that was very much a dress rehearsal for their UEFA Super Cup meeting on August 8, Martial showed his Portuguese manager why he's one of the most promising talents in European football with an outstanding assist for Jesse Lingard's opener.
Martial, after picking the ball up on the wide left of Manchester United's attack, ran directly at the heart of the Real Madrid defence showcasing some incredible footwork to set up Lingard for an easy tap in.
With an assist that Lionel Messi would have been proud of, Martial has shown the Manchester United hierarchy why talk of a move away from Old Trafford is premature.
Should Martial replicate this sort of form in the Premier League next season, he'll no doubt be a guaranteed starter for the Red Devils.
