VIDEO: Sadio Mane Appears to Take Up New Role in Liverpool Pre-Season Training

Liverpool fans have been left wondering if forward Sadio Mane could be occupying a new role for the Reds this season after being seen operating on the left flank during a training sessions as the club prepares for a friendly against Hertha Berlin in Germany.
In a video posted on Twitter by Liverpool reporter Melissa Reddy, Mane could be seen occupying a position on the left wing during a training match.

"Great to see Sadio Mane back and looking so sharp in training," was Reddy's accompanying caption.
Mane missed the final few weeks of last season as a result of injury and has only just resumed training with the full squad after remaining behind for the recent trip to Hong Kong.
With Mohamed Salah having joined from Roma in June and expected to fill a position on the right, it could be that Mane is seen more regularly on the left from now on.
To answer the question: Yes, Phil Coutinho trained and had some incredible chemistry with Mo Salah.#LFC

That was a position occupied by Philippe Coutinho last season. Reddy clarified that Coutinho did also train and there have been suggestions that the Brazilian could occupy a slightly deeper central play-maker role in the upcoming campaign.
