Sheffield United Set to Secure Watford Striker on a Loan Deal

It is understood by Sky Sports sources that Sheffield United are in talks with Watford over the loan signing of forward Jerome Sinclair.

The Blades are looking to bolster their squad depth after promotion up to the Championship, with Tottenham Hotspur's Cameron Carter-Vickers already penning a loan deal earlier this week.

The Birmingham-born forward has provoked competition from other sides in the division also, yet Sheffield United are still confident of fending off opposition to land their man.

Pre-season saw Sinclair feature regularly for Marco Silva's Watford, but with the arrival of Andre Gray from Premier League rivals Burnley, it appears that the green light has been given to Watford's number 19 to continue his development on loan in the Sky Bet Championship next season for the newly promoted Blades.

Sinclair only made seven appearances for Watford since joining the club from Liverpool last summer and looks to unlock his potential through playing more first team minutes.

Sheffield United therefore looks a likely destination for the 20-year-old with more game time offered at Bramall Lane than at any other Championship outfit.
