Just days after Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger stated the the one thing that could tempt him to leave his job with the Gunners was to have a crack at the World Cup, the German National team's twitter account has been in delightfully dry mood, at the expense of the Frenchman.

As Die Mannschaft went through their warm-up preparations before their friendly versus France in Cologne on Tuesday night, Bayern Munich full-back Joshua Kimmich was snapped in a rather fetching, yet over-sized coat that would perhaps be more suited to England's most famous French steward.

Germany's twitter account took advantage of the situation with a sly dig at Wenger, as they compared the German defender's stylings with that of his more senior fashion rival.

The tweet, as expected, received raucous approval from Gunners fans, who appreciated the reminder of Wenger's most famed bit of gear in his wardrobe.

Kimmich was an unused substitute in his side's 2-2 draw with France at the RheinEnergieStadion, with the 22-year-old seemingly getting plenty of use from his lengthy overcoat on what was a bitter night in Western Germany on Tuesday evening.

For Wenger - aside from his clear pre-occupations with what item of clothing to wear this weekend - the Gunners boss may need to wrap up warm this Saturday lunchtime for what is likely be a stern test of his side's top-four credentials, as Spurs visit the Emirates Stadium in the North London Derby.
