Atletico Madrid are reportedly interested in making a move for Everton forward Richarlison, but are expected to face competition from several European rivals for his signature.

The Brazil international has been in impressive form this season, scoring ten times in his 25 Premier League appearances so far.

According to the Daily Star, the 21-year-old's form has attracted admiring glances from Diego Simeone's Atletico, who have lined up the Brazilian as a potential target for next season.

The report adds that the La Liga side are in the market for a goal-scorer that has the versatility to play out wide, and that the technical secretary of Los Rojiblancos is already involved in transfer negotiations for the upcoming summer transfer window.

However, it is claimed that despite Atletico's apparent interest, they are unwilling to match Everton's potential valuation of the forward, which is rumoured to be around the £80m mark.

Whilst Atletico are considered amongst the frontrunners to secure Richarlison's signature, it was earlier reported that European giants Milan, Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea are all watching the Brazilian closely.

Richarlison earned a high-profile to the Premier League with Watford in the summer of 2017 for a reported £11.2m after enjoying a fine two-year spell at Fluminense.

After getting off to an excellent start at Vicarage Road, Richarlison's goal-scoring form tailed off after the Christmas break, and eventually finished with just five goals in 41 appearances.

Despite the 21-year-old's inconsistency, Everton splashed out £35m last year to bring the winger to Goodison Park, where he was reunited with former Hornets boss Marco Silva and has now seemingly re-discovered his early form.
