With just two Matchdays left in Euro 2020 qualifying, six nations have booked their ticket to the prestigious tournament. Four more spots will be decided in the final two rounds of matches, with the final four being determined by the UEFA Nations League playoffs. Here’s a look at some of the most important fixtures in Matchday 9.

The action kicks off with a matchup with massive implications in Group H when Turkey hosts Iceland. Turkey and France both sit on 19 points with Iceland trailing by four on 15. A win for the home side would decide the group, while Iceland could cause pure havoc with a win away from home.

Later, the reigning European champion can take a big step towards booking its ticket to defend its title. Portugal is a surprising second in Group B on 11 points with Serbia right on its heels with 10. Portugal hosts Lithuania, who is at the bottom of the group in what needs to be three points. Meanwhile, Serbia hosts Luxembourg, with both them and Portugal guaranteed at least a spot in the playoffs.

England has a great chance to clinch its spot in the tournament. It must defeat Montenegro, who has only three points so far. The second-place spot in Group A will come down to the crucial matchup of the Czech Republic vs. Kosovo, who has been quite a surprise.

The star-studded Group C could be decided on this Matchday. The Netherlands and Germany were always the two favorites to advance heading in and both are in a prime position. Northern Ireland can throw a wrench into those plans when it hosts the Dutch on Saturday. But, if the Dutch fail to win, it should wrap up the group.

Group D is wide open with the Republic of Ireland, Denmark and Switzerland all separated at the top by one point. However, both Denmark and Switzerland have one more match to play in the group and both are against weaker opponents, giving them a clear edge. Group E is in a similar state with four teams still mathematically alive.

Spain has run away with Group F leaving Sweden and Romania to battle it out for the final spot on Friday. The Swedes hold a one-point advantage heading into the final round of matches.
