As if the World Cup didn't contain enough drama and heart-stopping developments, the final days of group play are upon us. All four teams in each group play simultaneously, leaving team fortunes potentially changing by the minute.

Here are the scenarios for every group heading into the final matches (and here are the current standings):

GROUP A

Brazil: Advances as group winner, taking the top spot via goal-differential tiebreaker.

Mexico: Advances as group runner-up. 

Croatia: Eliminated. 

Cameroon: Eliminated.

GROUP B

Netherlands: Advances as group winner.

Chile: Advances as group runner-up.

Australia: Eliminated.

Spain: Eliminated.

GROUP C

Colombia: Advances as group winner.

Greece: Advances as group runner-up.

Ivory Coast: Eliminated.

Japan: Eliminated.

GROUP D

Costa Rica: Advances as group winner.

Uruguay: Advances as group runner-up.

Italy: Eliminated.

England: Eliminated.

GROUP E

France: Advances as group winner.

Switzerland: Advances as group runner-up.

Ecuador: Eliminated.

Belgium: Already advanced. Wins group with win or draw vs. South Korea.

Algeria: Advances with a win vs. Russia. Can win group with win over Russia and Belgium loss to South Korea.

Russia: Advances with a win over Algeria and either a Belgium win over South Korea or a South Korea win that does not eclipse its +1 edge in goal differential.

South Korea: Advances with a win over Belgium and either a Russia win over Algeria (but only if it overtakes Russia on goal-differential tiebreaker in process of both winning) or Russia tie with Algeria (but only if it overtakes Algeria on goal differential).
