Italy's Serie A was given the green light by the government to restart the campaign as meetings were held on Thursday confirming a return date of June 20th. Italian Sports Minister Vicenzo Spadafora held a conference call with league stakeholders stating that soccer can resume and set a target to end the season before the end of August. There are also four outstanding matches from week 25 and should probably be the first to resume earlier than the proposed date, yet the calendar still needs to be finalized.

Either way, this is positive news for Serie A and Italy, a nation that endured one of Europe's worst outbreaks in terms of the league. With 12 games left to play, the race for the title seems to be tied between two teams: Juventus and SS Lazio with Juventus looking to win its ninth straight title.
