Florence Schelling To Become First General Manager in Men's Professional Hockey

Florence Schelling will become the first general manager of SC Bern of the National League in Switzerland, making her the first female General Manager in men’s professional hockey. Along with being the first GM, Schelling was also the first and only woman to play in the Swiss Men's National B League. The four-time Olympian represented Switzerland as a goaltender in 11 World Championships and helped Switzerland win a bronze medal in the 2014 Sochi Olympics. Schelling will replace previous GM Alex Chatelain who won three championship titles with Bern. Chatelain will remain in the organization in a different role.
