Grigor Dimitrov Tests Positive for COVID-19 Canceling Exhibition with Novak Djokovic

A tennis exhibition where Novak Djokovic was supposed to play was canceled after Grigor Dimitrov tested positive for COVID-19. Dimitrov made his diagnosis public in order to alert anybody who had come into contact with him recently. SI's Madelyn Burke shares more on Dimitrov.
Grigor Dimitrov announced he has tested positive for COVID-19, leading to the cancellation of an exhibition event where Novak Djokovic was scheduled to play.The world’s 19th ranked tennis player and three-time Grand Slam semifinalist made the announcement on his Instagram page Sunday.
Dimitrov’s positive test comes after the Bulgarian tennis star played in an exhibition game organized by Djokovic in front of packed stands in Serbia, as many of the social distancing restrictions there had been lifted. He said in his announcement that he made his positive test public so that he could “make sure anyone who has been in contact with me these past days gets tested.”The professional tennis tours have been suspended since March and are currently scheduled to resume in August.
