Day 3 of the Western & Southern Open, Serena Williams moved on to the third round, but the twenty-three-time major champion was pushed all the way by Dutch qualifier Arantxa Rus after splitting the first two sets. Serena played a perfect breaker in the third to set up a meeting with the No. 13 seed Maria Sakkari.
