Chicago's placekicker Robbie Gould kicked two field goals, including this game winner in overtime, to help Chicago clinch a first-round bye and home field advantage throughout the NFC playoffs. The Bears squandered a 21-point lead late in the third quarter to allow the game to go into overtime.

Jamal Lewis helped take the pressure off quarterback Kyle Boller, who replaced an injured Steve McNair early in the game, by rushing 22 times for 109 yards

LaDainian Tomlinson had 25 carries for 199 yards and two touchdowns, including an 85-yard run late in the second quarter, giving him 31 touchdowns (28 rushing) on the season.

Terrell Owens scored twice against Atlanta on Saturday, beating cornerback DeAngelo Hall on both touchdown catches. Hall was more disheartened, however, by Owens spitting in his face during one of several verbal exchanges in the game.

J.P. Losman threw three touchdown passes, constituting the only scoring in the game as the Buffalo defense shut out Miami just one week after the Dolphins blanked the Patriots 21-0.

Laveranues Coles hauls in a 21-yard touchdown pass against Minnesota cornerback Fred Smoot in the second quarter. Coles had 12 catches for 144 yards as quarterback Chad Pennington threw for a career-high 339 yards.

Ladell Betts, filling in since Clinton Portis was lost for the season with a broken hand, ran for 119 yards on 22 carries against New Orleans, his fourth consecutive game rushing over 100 yards.

Willie Parker ran for 132 yards and a touchdown as Pittsburgh kept some hope alive of still making the playoffs while virtually eliminating any chances for Carolina.
