DAVOS, Switzerland (AP) Marit Bjoergen of Norway won her 84th career cross-country skiing World Cup event and Federico Pellegrino of Italy got his first in sprint races on Sunday.

Bjoergen extended her record career win total by timing 2 minutes, 35.86 seconds in freestyle technique on a 1.3-kilometer course.

Stina Nilsson of Sweden was second and Ingvild Flugstad Oestberg of Norway, the winner last weekend at Davos, was third.

With 100 points for the race victory, Bjoergen leads by 321 overall ahead of teammate Therese Johaug.

Pellegrino timed 2:19.36 to edge Alexey Petukhov of Russia. This season's leading sprinter, Finn Haagen Krogh of Norway, was third.

Krogh closed to 26 points behind overall leader Martin Johnsrud Sundby of Norway.

The Davos meeting replaced races that were cancelled because of a lack of snow at La Clusaz, France.
