KREISCHBERG, Austria (AP) Slovenian freestyler Filip Flisar won the world ski cross title while Andrea Limbacher of Austria won the women's gold medal on the final day of the worlds on Sunday.

Flisar defeated Olympic champion Jean Frederic Chapuis of France in the final for his first medal at a major championship. Victor Oehling Norberg of Sweden earned bronze.

The semifinal was interrupted for 15 minutes following a nasty-looking crash involving Thomas Zangerl of Austria and Armin Niederer of Switzerland. Both were hospitalized with unknown injuries.

Limbacher edged 2007 champion Ophelie David of France in a photo finish in the women's final, while Fanny Smith of Switzerland took bronze.

Olympic champion and 2013 silver medalist, Marielle Thompson of Canada, crashed in the semifinal and opted not to start in the small final.
