Louisville coach Bobby Petrino has hired a consulting firm to aid players in the agent selection process, reports Neil Stratton of Inside the league, a football industry information company.

The firm, Cornerstone Sports Consulting, is made up of former members of NFL front offices. According to its website, CSC offers services relating to areas such as selecting an agent, preparing for the NFL draft, education on the economics of professional football and more.

According to Stratton, coach James Franklin hired CSC to work with Penn State as well.

Per NCAA rules, players cannot have contact with agents, or else they lose their eligibility. But those whose eligibility has expired or who have declared for the draft are free to communicate with agents as they please.

Petrino was re-hired by Louisville after coaching the Cardinals from 2003-06. He went 41-9 in his first stint at the school.
