This post has been updated to correct the following information: Ray Smith committed to Arizona, not Louisville. SI.com regrets the error.

Arizona-bound small forward Ray Smith, a five-star recruit out of Las Vegas, has a torn ACL, reports college basketball blogger Scott Phillips.

Louisville coach Rick Pitino: 'I can go for a long time'

The 6-foot-8 Smith is the 13th-ranked prospect in the Class of 2015 by 247Sports.com. He averaged 24.7 points, 6 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 2 steals and 1.3 blocks last season for Las Vegas High, which advanced to the Nevada state semifinals.

He is viewed as a wing player with great athleticism and a strong jumper.

The Wildcats went 33-5 last season, losing to Wisconsin by one point in overtime of the West Region final.
