Tight end Tyler Petite announced his verbal commitment to Duke Wednesday. The four-star prospect from Moraga, Calif., was considered to be leaning towards USC. He made the announcement via Twitter.

Petite is one of two four-star prospects in Duke’s 2015 recruiting class. The 16-man haul is ranked No. 19 in the country by Rivals.com, one spot ahead of USC. The Blue Devils, who won 10 games last season en route to an appearance in the ACC Championship game, have landed just one other four-star prospect since 2012.
