Report: Gators CB Vernon Hargreaves has bone bruise after team brawl

Florida cornerback Vernon Hargreaves III has a bone bruise on his left knee following a brawl at Thursday night's practice, according to the Orlando Sentinel's Iliana Limón Romero.
The sophomore was later seen icing his knee on the sidelines. He was reportedly limping badly off the field before eventually being helped off by trainers. He availability is listed as day-to-day.

The injury occurred after the team's defensive backs and wide receivers got into a scuffle during a tackling drill, 247sports.com's Luke Stampini reports. Coaches had to separate the position groups.
The 5-foot-11, 190-pound Hargreaves was named a third-team All-America player by the Associated Press after recording 38 tackles, three interceptions and 11 pass breakups in 12 games (10 starts) last season as a true freshman.
The Gators start their season on Aug. 30 against Idaho in Gainesville.
