Michigan receiver Csont'e York has been dismissed from the team, the school announced Monday.

York was charged with one count of aggravated assault and two counts of assault or assault and battery earlier this month. Police in Ann Arbor released a video that they say shows York punching a man outside a bar in mid-July.

According to a police report acquired by The Ann Arbor News through the Freedom of Information Act, the victim in the case lost a tooth and broke his jaw in three places, "requiring it to be wired shut and necessitating the temporary use of a breathing tube."

Michigan head coach Brady Hoke released a statement announcing York's dismissal.

York was suspended indefinitely before the start of fall camp.

York is a native of Harper Woods, Mich., just east of Detroit. He played in only one game last season.
