Florida State's Karlos Williams under investigation in domestic battery case
The Tallahassee Police Department is investigating a domestic battery case that allegedly involved Florida State running back Karlos Williams.
The department provided details of its investigation in a Facebook post:
"The Tallahassee Police Department is currently working an alleged domestic battery involving Karlos Williams. TPD received the case on Saturday night, October 25th, 2014 and it was immediately assigned to the Criminal Investigation Division. The alleged crime is an active on-going investigation and Florida Law does not allow TPD to discuss the details of any case while it is on-going."
Williams, a senior, leads the Seminoles with 378 rushing yards and seven rushing touchdowns this season.
A Tallahassee attorney told the Tallahassee Democrat that he is representing Williams but did not comment on the case. Jansen has also represented Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston.
UPDATE: Florida State issued a statement saying Williams' status with the team is under review pending further information. He was at practice on Monday.
Seminoles coach Jimbo Fisher reportedly will not make a previously scheduled appearance with the media.
