In a Week 2 win at Vanderbilt, Bulldogs running back Nick Chubb rushed for 189 yards, while Isaiah McKenzie scored on a 77-yard punt return in the first quarter. Dominick Sanders also recorded an interception and a subsequent 88-yard return for a game-sealing touchdown in the final moments of the game.
South Carolina quarterback Perry Orth will make his first career start against Georgia, after starter Connor Mitch injured his shoulder in last Saturday's 26-22 loss to Kentucky. Against Kentucky, Orth was 13-for-20 for 179 yards and a touchdown. He also threw a pivotal interception with 4:32 remaining in the fourth quarter against the Wildcats.
The Gamecocks are 4–1 in their last five meetings with Georgia.
