Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer told reporters on Monday that he remains undecided on picking Cardale Jones or J.T. Barrett as the team's starting quarterback for Saturday's game against Western Michigan.
“I haven't decided yet,” Meyer said. “Not one has beaten out the other.”
After making his third start of the season against Northern Illinois, Jones was benched following two interceptions in the first half. Meyer told reporters that he believes Jones was pulled at the right time, as the Buckeyes went on to win 20–13. After Barrett replaced Jones he led Ohio State’s lone touchdown drive of the game.
Jones continues to receive the majority of reps in practice.
Ohio State is undefeated through the first three games of the season.
