Baylor quarterback Jarrett Stidham is uncertain to play on Saturday against Oklahoma State after sustaining a back injury in last week’s loss to Oklahoma.

“Honestly, not as far along as what I’d like for him to be,” head coach Art Briles said Wednesday. “We’ll see in the next day or two.”

Briles previously said Monday that Stidham had no structural damage and would be able to play.

If he sits out the game, Stidham would likely be replaced by sophomore Chris Johnson, who is listed as No. 2 on the team’s depth chart.

Baylor is already down their opening-day starter at quarterback, with Seth Russell lost for the season with a neck injury.
