Florida State's defense, led by two of the nation's most dynamic players, will take center stage as the Seminoles wrap up their ACC slate with a road game at Syracuse.

Sophomore cornerback Tarvarus McFadden leads the nation with seven interceptions, and defensive end DeMarcus Walker has recorded with 11 sacks this season for Florida State, which has won four of their last five games.

Florida State running back Dalvin Cook needs 19 yards to break the school's career rushing record set by Warrick Dunn.

Syracuse (4–6, 2–4 ACC) needs to win out in order to be bowl eligible and is coming off a 35–20 loss to North Carolina State in which the offense held the ball for only 18 minutes and could only muster 218 yards, including 28 on the ground.

Florida State has beaten Syracuse all three times since the Orange joined the ACC and has won eight in a row in the series overall.
