Notre Dame played basketball against the Swiss Guard in Vatican City

The Notre Dame men's basketball team took on the Swiss Guard in a basketball game at the Vatican.

The Notre Dame basketball team is currently on a tour of Italy and while there, they stopped for a tour of the Vatican.

While the Pope is out of town, some of his personal security service, the Swiss Guard were around, and they challengerd on the Fighting Irish on the basketball court.

The team did not say who won the scrimmage, but that is not important. What is important is that there are Swiss guard basketball jerseys out there, and they are amazing.
