Kansas man surprises near-stranger with World Series tickets

A Kansas City Royals fan was inspired by the team's run to do something life-changing for someone else, so he bought two tickets to Game 6 of the World Series for a woman who works in his doctor's office who he always hears talking about the team.

A Kansas City Royals fan with a kind heart bought two tickets to Game 6 of the World Series for a woman who works in his doctor's office and who he always hears talking about the team.

Rob Hoback told Fox4KC that he immediately thought of Patricia Henson, who he chats with about baseball when he visits the office, and who recently survived open heart surgery.

Henson said she was in the crowd for the team's Game 7 victory in the 1985 World Series, and believes that the team has what it takes to overcome its current 3-2 series deficit to the San Francisco Giants.

Game 6 is scheduled for Tuesday night with Yordano Ventura on the mound for the Royals and Jake Peavy pitching for the Giants.
