Bill Belichick tells Media Day he likes finger puppets, Home Alone

Super Bowl media day has become known for its zany atmosphere over the last few years, with reporters wearing crazy outfits and asking even crazier questions. New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick, on the other hand, is generally associated with grumbling and sweatshirts.

Super Bowl media day has become known for its zany atmosphere over the last few years, with reporters wearing crazy outfits and asking even crazier questions. New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick, on the other hand, is generally associated with grumbling and sweatshirts.

When the two collided at Media Day on Tuesday, Belichick dropped his generally dour attitude for a few questions at least, like when Jerod Mayo's daughter asked him what his favorite stuffed animal was.

Belichick also answered a question about the last three movies he had seen. The first two were Unbreakable and American Sniper, exactly the type of fare you would expect from an NFL coach, but then the coach took a left turn and mentioned Home Alone and Home Alone 2.

Maybe the strategic Belichick is inspired by Kevin McCallister's ingenuity and quick thinking.

The media knew it was going to get a different Belichick as soon as reporters saw the coach's laid-back footwear.
