Chicago high-rise lit up to honor 'Mr. Cub' Ernie Banks

Tuesday night the Blue Cross-Blue Shield Tower on the south side of the city lit up in glorious fashion to honor the legendary Cubs shortstop, with the number 14 and "Mr. Cub." shining bright for all to see. The 57-story building's tribute might very well be the best one yet.

The city of Chicago and the entire sports world was hit hard this past week with the news that one of the greatest players of all-time, Ernie Banks, passed away at the age of 83. Banks remains an icon in the city of Chicago and the tributes that we have seen so far have been tremendous.

The latest one is spectacular as well.

Throughout the years, the building has been known to pay tributes to other Chicago sports legends, such as Walter Payton.
