Stephen Curry is awesome at basketball, this is a pretty universally accepted by this point as he is viewed by many to be a strong candidate for this season's MVP award.

The Toronto Star shows that lighting it up from long range is nothing new for the Golden State Warriors guard though, as new video of him playing in eighth grade demonstrates.

Curry's coach from the Queensway Christian College Saints grade 8 team, James Lackey, tells The Star that Curry quickly changed the fortunes of the team when he arrived in the Toronto suburb.

"He was this tiny little guy, but when we put him on the court he was just unbelievable. He was scoring 40 points, 50 points a game, no problem,”

It is easy to pick Curry out in the video, as his smooth release was apparently in place all the way back in junior high, which was enough to lead the Saints to an undefeated season in his only season at the school.
