Kentucky's secret to success is Super Smash Bros.
With all of the blue chip prospects on Kentucky, one would think it would be hard for all of that individual talent to meld together, but the Wildcats have a secret team building weapon: Super Smash Bros on Nintendo 64.
The 1999 multiplayer fighting game is just a few years younger than some of the Kentucky stars, but it has proven a hit ever since players began gathering in Alex Poythress's dorm to play the game.
Now the team brings the vintage video game console on the road, and while it may appear to up the competition between teammates it also serves as a common ground for the players.
The Kentucky Insider video shows just how intense the battle between the tournament favorites can get, with players interrupting one another's interviews to remind their teammates who is next up in the frenetically paced game.
