Ryan Lochte’s robbery saga is the focus of a recent John Oliver segment.

The Olympics came to a close on Sunday night but that does not mean the biggest story of the games is behind us just yet.

As the closing ceremony aired, Last Week Tonight with John Oliver saved a segment for the swimmer and his Rio antics, remembering the better days when everyone could enjoy Lochte’s “sweet, dumb merman” persona.

Lochte has been attempting to rehabilitate his image since news broke that his story of being robbed at gunpoint was not entirely accurate, with the gold medalist leaving out that he and some of his US Swimming teammates had vandalized a gas station prior to being asked to pay for the damages.
