Watch: Kyle Schwarber celebrates Cubs pennant after Arizona Fall League game

Even the rehabbing Cubs slugger got in on the celebration.

Kyle Schwarber may not be with the Cubs, but that doesn’t mean he isn’t celebrating the club’s first pennant since 1945.

The injured slugger ran into the clubhouse after the Mesa Solar Sox’ 7–2 loss in Arizona Fall League play and was immediately greeted by a champagne celebration. Schwarber threw his hands up like a rock star and soaked it all in.

This video comes our way from Cubs scout Spike Lundberg, who added in a tweet, “We weren't about to let Schwarber feel left out!”

Manager Joe Maddon said before Saturday’s NLCS-clinching Game 6 that “there’s a chance” Schwarber could play in the World Series. The 23-year-old has been out since April 7 with a torn ACL and LCL.
