Seagate takes Belmont Park feature

NEW YORK (AP) Seagate held off fast-closing Where's Danny by a half-length Wednesday in the $77,000 allowance feature on the turf at Belmont Park.

Seagate took over from second on the final turn and sprinted clear while Where's Danny rallied from ninth to contest the issue.

Angel Arroyo rode the winner to his second victory in five starts. The 4-year-old trained by Kiaran McLaughlin ran a mile in 1:35.54.

Seagate paid $12.40, $7.30 and $4.50.

Where's Danny returned $14.20 and $5.20, and English Minister paid $4.80 to show.
