Nonna's Boy wins Lamplighter Stakes at Monmouth Park

OCEANPORT, N.J. (AP) Nonna's Boy raced to a front-running 3 1/2-length victory over stablemate Dontbetwithbruno in the $60,000 Lamplighter Stakes at Monmouth Park on Saturday.

Nonna's Boy ran 1 1/16 miles over firm turf in 1:41 for trainer Todd Pletcher. The Chris DeCarlo-ridden winner paid $4.40, $3.20 and $2.60 as the favorite in the field of six 3-year-old colts.

Dontbetwithbruno, also racing for Repole Stable and Pletcher, paid $5.60 and $3.20. It was another head back to Black Martino, who was $3 to show.

Nonna's Boyand Dontbetwithbruno raced as separate betting interests.

Bred by the owner, Nonna's Boy has three wins in seven starts, earning $148,240.
