Tuesday April 14th, 2015

Cleveland Indians pitcher Carlos Carrasco was struck in the head by a line drive off the bat of Melky Cabrera during Tuesday's game against the Chicago White Sox.

The Indians later announced that Carrasco is being treated for a jaw contusion and currently has no symptoms of a concussion or head injury.

Cabrera was the second batter of the game. The play, which can be seen below, occurred with Adam Eaton on first base. Eaton later scored on a hit by Adam LaRoche off McAllister.

Carrasco was making his second start of the season. He threw 6 1/3 scoreless innings in his season debut on April 8.
