Milwaukee Brewers shortstop Jean Segura was hit in the helmet by a pitch from the Chicago Cubs' Pedro Strop Sunday at Wrigley Field.

Segura exited the game after the 95 MPH fastball from Strop struck him in the front of his helmet. Cubs catcher Miguel Montero immediately waved to the bench for a trainer to come out, while Strop looked on in obvious concern. Trainers from both teams attended to Segura.

Hector Gomez replaced Segura as a pinch runner. Segura was 0-for-3 with a strikeout, though he did make an impressive diving play in the third inning to record an out.

Segura was also hit in the helmet by a pitch last month, in an April 7 game against the Colorado Rockies in Milwaukee. He was able to remain in the game after the pitch from Rockies pitcher Jordan Lyles glanced off his helmet and hit his nose.

Segura .289 this season with one home run and 10 RBI. The Brewers (7–18) won Sunday's game 5–3 to take the series after also winning Saturday.
