Cleveland Indians pitcher Carlos Carrasco left Sunday’s game against the Detroit Tigers in the third inning after sustaining an injury to his left leg.

Carrasco was attempting to cover first base on a ground ball hit by Andrew Romine, and appeared to land awkwardly on the bag while making the play.

He had to be helped into the dugout by a pair of trainers, and was eventually taken to the clubhouse.

The team later announced that he had suffered a hamstring injury.

Carrasco is 2–0 in three starts this season.
