The Braves have acquired minor-league infielder Travis Demeritte from the Rangers in exchange for pitchers Lucas Harrell and Dario Alvarez, the clubs announced on Wednesday.

Harrell, a 31-year-old journeyman, pitched for the LG Twins of the KBO last season before coming back to the minor leagues this year with the Tigers. He was traded to Atlanta in May, and since being called up on July 2, has gone 5–5 with a 3.38 ERA in 29 1/3 innings. He is joined in Texas by Alvarez, a 27-year-old reliever who was claimed off waivers by Atlanta in May.

Demeritte, 21, is the Rangers’ No. 20 prospect according to MLB.com. The righthanded hitter is batting .272 in 88 games for High A High Desert this season with 25 home runs, 59 RBIs, 13 stolen bases and 73 runs scored.

Harrell was scheduled to pitch again on Sunday.
