Toronto Blue Jays catcher Russell Martin received stitches in his left hand after a hard high-five split his pinky while celebrating the American League wild-card win, Arden Zwelling  of Sportsnet Magazine reports.

Martin says that he is OK and is expected to play against the Texas Rangers as the American League Division Series opens on Thursday afternoon.

It is not the first strange injury involving Martin, as he fainted earlier this year after spending too much time in the sauna and injured his knee.
