The Raptors are expected to make a significant offer to re-sign point guard Kyle Lowry.

With NBA free agency under way, the rumor mill is churning at high speed. Which teams are looking to swing deals? Which free agents are eyeing new teams? What’s the latest news surrounding LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony? Here are the latest news and reports:

Report: Kyle Lowry tells Raptors he'll wait a few days before making decision

Miami president Pay Riley in contact with Pau Gasol. Yahoo Sports: "Free-agent center Pau Gasol had a telephone conversation with Miami Heat president Pat Riley on Tuesday and could talk again with the franchise in the near future, league sources told Yahoo Sports.​"

Report: Derrick Rose went through private workout in front of Carmelo Anthony in Chicago. Basketball Insiders: "While Rose had went on the record saying that he wasn’t going recruit Anthony to Chicago, he was very involved in the team’s courtship of the superstar free agent, according to sources close to the situation. While at the United Center, sources say that Rose went through a private workout to show Anthony that he’s healthy and ready to compete at a high level next season."

Yahoo Sports: "As the Miami Heat pursue a meeting with free agent Kyle Lowry on Tuesday night, free agency's best point guard is huddling with his agent Andy Miller and mulling offers to return to Toronto or Houston, league sources told Yahoo Sports."

Gordon Hayward, Celtics share mutual interest. Boston Globe: "One league source said both Stevens and Ainge separately contacted Hayward, a former star at Butler when Stevens coached there. There is mutual interest for a possible reunion in the pro ranks, league sources said.​"

Rose to be part of Bulls' Tuesday pitch to Melo. Chicago Tribune: “Derrick Rose is scheduled to be part of the Bulls' Tuesday pitch to Carmelo Anthony, according to sources familiar with the meeting. Whether that involves Rose attending the meeting in person or talking to Anthony isn't clear yet.”​

Players told to structure contracts in preparation for possible work stoppage. USA Today Sports“With NBA free agency tipping off on Tuesday, the players union issued a warning to its constituents in a recent memo obtained by USA TODAY Sports: stretch your salary payments out just in case there's a work stoppage.”​

Mavericks interested in D.J. Augustin. ESPN: "Sources said the Mavericks have expressed interest in point guard D.J. Augustin, who could potentially diminish the backcourt shooting void left by the departure of Jose Calderon in the six-player deal with the New York Knicks."​

Dallas likely to wait until Wednesday to finalize deal with Nowitzki. ESPN: "The Dallas Mavericks are in advanced discussions with star forward Dirk Nowitzki on a new contract but are likely to hold off on finalizing deal terms until after the team's face-to-face meeting this week with Carmelo Anthony, according to sources close to the process."

Mutual interest between Portland, Josh McRoberts. CSN Northwest"“In an effort to shore up their depth in the frontcourt, the Portland Trail Blazers contacted the representatives of free agent forward Josh McRoberts and established that both side have interest, league sources informed CSNNW.com.”

Nets meeting with top coaching candidate Lionel Hollins for second straight day. Yahoo Sports“The Brooklyn Nets are meeting for a second straight day with top coaching candidate Lionel Hollins on Tuesday and could soon advance into contract negotiations should the ex-Memphis Grizzlies coach meet the approval of ownership, league sources told Yahoo Sports.”​

New York Post: "However, according to two sources, Anthony’s wife, La La Vasquez, also a Brooklyn native, is very happy in New York and is opposed to Melo leaving the Knicks. He became a free agent for the first time in his career at 12:01 a.m. Tuesday, but Anthony said in a video interview posted last week he’s worried about uprooting his family and 7-year-old son, Kiyan.​However, according to two sources, Anthony’s wife, La La Vasquez, also a Brooklyn native, is very happy in New York and is opposed to Melo leaving the Knicks. Mavericks to meet with Carmelo on Wednesday. CBSSports: "The Mavericks are prioritizing a meeting Wednesday with Knicks free agent Carmelo Anthony in Dallas, trying to persuade the seven-time All-Star to reunite with former teammate Tyson Chandler and Dallas' own free agent, Dirk Nowitzki.

Anthony also locked in meetings with the Bulls on Tuesday, Rockets on Wednesday and Lakers on Thursday. Pau Gasol, Chris Bosh could be Lakers' 'Plan B.' ESPN: "If James and Anthony represented the Lakers' Plan A, then either Pau Gasol or Chris Bosh - perhaps paired with one of the two aforementioned gems of the 2003 draft class - were the Plan B. The Lakers, Mavericks, Chicago Bulls and Golden State Warriorswere among the teams who reached out to Gasol Monday night, according to a source with knowledge of the situation. The market for the 7-foot Spaniard is likely to develop after Anthony and James make their decision as many of the teams interested in Gasol, are also pursuing the two superstar forwards."
