The Philadelphia 76ers unveiled a new set of logos Tuesday, effective immediately as the franchise's new look.

Maintaining the classic insignia, the Sixers dropped the rectangular red background in their main logo in favor of a new blue circular border that features six white stars and "Philadelphia" within. The seams on the basketball have been rotated, as well.

New partial and secondary logos emphasize 13 stars for the original 13 colonies. Another secondary logo stars Ben Franklin in Sixers gear, in mid-dribble. The blue again emerges as the main color, with red appearing in a lesser capacity.

The Sixers will unveil new uniforms on June 18 at a public event at the Wells Fargo center that features current and former players. The look will pay homage to Sixers designs from the 60's, 70's and 80's.
